Unlike most health scores, VOLO™ Scores take a holistic view of multiple health domains in one view. The healthspan overview is the 10-15 year roadmap for clinicians to assess each health domain, permitting efficient focus, drill downs, and comparison to prior dates.

Biomarker strength indicates how strongly a biomarker correlates to a particular health domain, based on VOLO Health's models. Values range from 1 (weakest) to 10 (strongest). This lets you see at a glance which biomarkers contribute most to each domain.

No. The VOLO Score is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace clinical diagnosis of a patient's current health status. It provides a long-term health outlook and supports prevention, allowing clinicians and patients to intervene early to improve long-term health.

Genetic data is not yet fully integrated into the standard VOLO Score, but it is actively in development and represents the next major evolution of the platform.

We can provide VOLO Scores with a limited set of blood biomarkers because we impute missing biomarkers from large population data — though the more biomarkers used, the better. See the list of biomarkers used to generate VOLO Scores and their prediction strength, and the 5 biomarkers we recommend adding to blood tests.

Individual lab values are typically evaluated against population reference ranges — flagging what's abnormal but offering little insight into how those values interact or what they mean for a patient's long-term trajectory. The VOLO Score analyzes multiple biomarkers simultaneously across 11 health domains, accounting for age and sex, and surfaces the combinations quietly driving long-term risk.

VOLO Scores are generated from bloodwork, vital signs, and biometric data. Because biomarkers change over time, regular updates are essential. Every 3 to 6 months is the recommended cadence for most patients; those tracking specific interventions may draw more frequently.

VOLO Scores do the heavy lifting before the visit. Rather than synthesizing raw lab values one by one, you arrive with a clear visual snapshot across 11+ domains, with the highest-priority domains and biomarker relationships already identified. This shifts the conversation from data explanation to behavior change.
