VOLO Scores are personalized based on age, sex, biomarkers, and population-modeled health patterns — resulting in a comprehensive assessment of each individual's long-term health.
VOLO Age reflects how healthy your body systems are compared with the average health of a large, diverse population of the same sex and chronological age. A lower VOLO Age indicates better health than the average person of the same sex and age.
The VOLO Modeled Range (VMR) is a sex- and age-specific biomarker range associated with optimal health across the domains we evaluate. It's derived from models spanning eleven major health domains over a 15-year timeframe. Traditional lab ranges typically focus on single biomarker-disease relationships; the VMR is derived from unbiased, data-driven analyses across the domains most tied to chronic disease.
